Five generations, one passion

"It's no secret that the traditional hospitality of the Hotel GUT Trattlerhof**** dates back centuries, but it might be surprising to learn that the very foundation walls of Trattlers Einkehr have a long and venerable history of their own. The wooden structure that provides the setting for delicious meals at Trattlers Einkehr is over 300 years old. It was originally taken from an old barn in Sankt Oswald and rebuilt as an inn at its current site."

1979 – Culinary nirvana in one masterstroke

The foundations for Trattlers Einkehr, now such a beloved institution, were laid over 40 years ago. Back then, no one could have guessed that the 4 newly opened tennis courts and the adjoining tennis pavillion would become the site of Bad Kleinkirchheim's top culinary establishment some years later.

1985 – Delicious alpine cooking in the heart of Bad Kleinkirchheim

Thanks to the high-tech Maibrunn chairlift, Trattlers Einkehr can now be accessed from the Carinthian holiday resort in Bad Kleinkirchheim. Hotel guests and local residents have long been coming to this traditional village restaurant for delicious meals.

1986 to 2016 – much more than just a mountain restaurant

Over the years, the simple alpine restaurant has been expanded to include its own fishpond, a spacious sun terrace, a fish-smoking oven, its own pony farm, a beach volleyball court, a popular children's playground, and much more.

From 2017 – A separate restaurante in the village centre

Following the construction of the 14 Trattler Hof Chalets, Trattlers Einkehr has become the go-to, off-site Trattlerhof restaurant for lunch and dinner. The GenussWirt accreditation systm and the prestigious Fallstaff Guide soon recognised the high quality of the food served up at the Trattler alpine restaurant. Trattlers Einkehr has also espoused the Slow Food Initiative for many years, as reflected in the outstanding quality of the regional produce.
